Two of the fastest growing counties in Kentucky, Garrard County and Lincoln County,
offer the advantages of small town life, rural life, and large city
opportunities. A low cost of living and central location combine with

Air transportation is readily accessible through Lexington,
Louisville, and Cincinnati. Access to Interstate 75 is approximately
twenty miles from the center of Lancaster & Stanford. US 27 is
slated for improvements which will provide access to both Interstates
64 and 75.

distance.
Garrard County & Lincoln County consist of gently rolling
to hilly terrain with several bodies of water. These bodies include
Dix River, the Kentucky River, Cedar Creek Lake and 3600 acre Herrington
Lake. Whether your choice is skiing, fishing or boating, both counties
offer a wealth of water-related recreational opportunities and also
boasts of scenic nature along the Kentucky River and Logan Hubble Park.
The area also offers options for the Golf enthusiast. Dix River Country
Club and Pennisula Golf Resort, designed by Pete Dye, Pennisula is
rated among the top ten in Kentucky. In addition, Kentucky is investigating
possibilities for locating its newest state park on Herrington Lake.
Both counties offer a wealth of history with over
100 buildings on the Historic Register. The Garrard County Jail Museum
and Pleasant Retreat, the home of Governor William Owsley, and The William
Whitley House offer glimpses of the past. An abundance of genealogical
material is found in the Public Libraries and through cemeteries that
date to the late 1700's.
